Sizing Guide
Size & Fit Guide
At Eclettica, we curate clothing from a variety of Canadian and European designers, and sizing can vary significantly between brands — and sometimes even between different styles from the same designer.
Because of this, our size chart is intended as a general body-size reference only, rather than a guarantee of how every garment will fit.
We personally assess the fit of our pieces and include additional Fit & Sizing information within individual product descriptions whenever possible. We recommend checking the product-specific fit notes before choosing your size.

European Size Conversion
European sizing can vary considerably by designer, so these conversions should also be used as a general reference.

Italian-made clothing in particular may be labelled differently depending on the designer and intended fit. Whenever we feel a piece runs smaller, larger or differently than expected, we will note this in the individual product description.
One Size & Combined Sizing
Many of our European collections use flexible sizing such as:
One Size
S/M
M/L
L/XL
These garments are often designed with stretch, draping, relaxed silhouettes or oversized cuts and may comfortably fit a wider range of body sizes than the label suggests.
When possible, we will provide an approximate Canadian size range in the product description.
For example:
One Size — best suited to approximately sizes 6–14.
or
S/M — approximately sizes 4–10.
These ranges will vary by garment.
Understanding Our Fit Notes
Look for our Fit & Sizing section on individual products.
We may describe the fit as:
Slim Fit — designed to sit close to the body.
True to Size — generally fits as expected for the labelled size.
Relaxed Fit — provides additional room through the body.
Oversized Fit — intentionally designed with a loose, generous silhouette.
We may also indicate the amount of stretch:
No Stretch
Slight Stretch
Moderate Stretch
High Stretch
And where helpful, we will include our recommendation:
Take your usual size.
Size down if you prefer a closer fit.
Size up if you prefer additional room.
If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up/down.
How We Measure Garments
When garment measurements are provided, they are taken with the item laid flat unless otherwise stated.
Bust: measured from armpit to armpit and doubled.
Waist: measured across the waist and doubled.
Hip: measured across the fullest part of the hip and doubled.
Length: measured from the shoulder to the hem.
For pants:
Waist: measured across the waistband and doubled.
Rise: measured from the crotch seam to the top of the waistband.
Inseam: measured from the crotch seam to the bottom hem.
Please allow for small variations due to fabric, stretch and garment construction.
